Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B are highly contagious, very serious diseases that affect the liver.

It is simple to prevent both hepatitis A and hepatitis B:
Get Vaccinated!

Men who have sex with men, users of injection and non-injection drugs, people who are HIV+ and people who are Hepatitis C+, as well as individuals with other risk factors, should be vaccinated. Here's how:

The best place to be vaccinated is at your doctor's office because you can get the shots in the context of all of your health needs. Many health plans will pay for hep A and B vaccines for adults at high-risk (that includes all men who have sex with men). It helps if you are out to your doctor, but if you are not out, your local health department should offer low-cost vaccines.
If you don't know how to find your local health department, inquire with Immunization Programs of State Health Departments.
